LULLWATER PARK

I’ve known Janet for many years now and she is a woman I truly admire. She is a talented reporter, an incredibly intelligent person and above all she is a wonderful mom to her six-year-old and one-year-old twins. It was so great to be able to photograph these gorgeous kids together with her husband Mark. We spent a couple of hours at the lovely Lullwater Park at Emory last weekend and were fortunate to have perfect fall weather. Though Sarah, their six-year-old, was not to keen on sitting still for family photos, she did have a ton of fun chasing down daddy long-legs spiders. So maybe we didn’t get the perfect family Christmas card, but I think we had a lot of fun trying! ch-fam-001ch-fam-002ch-fam-003ch-fam-004ch-fam-005ch-fam-006ch-fam-007ch-fam-008ch-fam-009

HILLARY & BRANDON–CATHEDRAL ST. PHILIP & CHASTAIN PARK WEDDING

I love my laid back, easy going brides! Hillary realized she might be in a bit of trouble with a 12:30 ceremony and hair and makeup appointments that didn’t begin until 9:00AM. Of course as things always go at the salon, Hillary was running late getting to the church. Many people might be frustrated and frazzled feeling that kind of time crunch. Not Hillary! She made her way into the bridal area laughing and grinning ear to ear. The girls knew they had to get ready quickly and I swear I have never seen bridesmaids and a bride get dressed that fast–they were awesome!

Hillary and Brandon are such a loving, fun and easy going couple. There is such a warmth and ease when the two of them are around each other that just makes everyone so comfortable. I was so happy that they opted to see each other before the ceremony because the smile on Hillary’s face when Brandon hugged her was simply perfect. From the ceremony at the amazing Cathedral of St. Philip to the reception at the Chastain Horse Park, the day was a wonderful reflection of Hillary and Brandon. No rain or crazy time crunch was going to keep these two and all of their family and friends from having an amazing wedding day. Thank you for letting me share in your beautiful wedding!

Modeling in NY

I wanted to take advantage of some amazing Fall colors and locations recently to shoot some model bridal portraits. I was able to convince the gorgeous Leslie to model for me all over town in what turned out to be a verrrry cold day! In between shots she threw on her big parka–which helped a little, I think! It was a great opportunity for me to play around with some ideas and poses I had. Since you can’t take a bad photo of Leslie, it made for a really fun afternoon of shooting. I love having some time to get creative behind the camera! final-blog-leslie-005final-blog-leslie-001final-blog-leslie-008final-blog-leslie-004final-blog-leslie-003final-blog-leslie-009final-blog-leslie-007final-blog-leslie-006final-blog-leslie-002

HELLO BLUE EYES!

I had the great pleasure of photographing little Sadie again last weekend up in Alpharetta! I met this gorgeous little gal almost a year ago for her newborn pics. I love photographing families and kids for so many reasons–but my favorite thing is just to watch the parents interact with their little ones. Watching so much love pour out of parents when they hug, kiss, cuddle and talk with their kids is truly a reminder of the unending capacity for love that we all have. Oh and hello, prettiest baby blue eyes I have ever seen!

VINTAGE GLAM

So I am way behind in posting my shots for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s My Style section. In the past month I’ve photographed a ton of interesting and of course fashionable people for the weekly section. Most recently I photographed Leila Regan-Porter (http://www.theleila.com/) who has the most gorgeous collection of vintage hats! She often makes her own fabulous 50’s and 60’s style dresses, with a bit of help from her mom. I photographed her in her Decatur neighborhood and had a great time shooting all of her very cool vintage outfits. The other photos are of the lovely Morgan Marr, Daryn Schwartz and C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar (www.candsoysterbar.com) owner Rich Clark.
