ELIZABETH & CHRIS–PARK TAVERN WEDDING, ATLANTA

I had such a great time second shooting for my good friend Shannon Jenkins of Offhand Photography for Chris & Elizabeth’s wedding at the lovely Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. I started off the day with Chris and his groomsmen at the W Hotel in Midtown–before we all headed over to the Piedmont Room at Park Tavern so that Chris and Elizabeth could do their ‘First Look’. As you all know, I love having the opportunity for the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony. It is such a wonderful moment that the couple can share away from everyone else–and of course the emotion as these two saw each other for the first time was just so great to capture.

I loved everything about this wedding. Chris and all his groomsmen are just the nicest guys and Elizabeth is so lovely and easy going –that it truly made for such a perfect day. Of course it didn’t hurt that they had a bluegrass band at their wedding (and yes I am biased since I had one at mine)!  Ok, we’ve got to start things off right with these fabulous hot pink Christian Louboutin heels!Love this shot of Elizabeth–like something out of an impressionist painting. She is stunning!Chris and Elizabeth seeing each other for the first time!So I’ve gone a little crazy for these shoes–love that splash of color!Just a little moment where the bridal party was waiting to be announced–some gorgeous light filtering through the windows. I love the early evening light through all those huge windows at the Piedmont Room.I love a girl who loves her bluegrass music! The two holding hands while listening to Chris’ dad give a toast.

KIRK BROWN–STYLE

I had such a great time photographing Kirk Brown a couple of weeks ago for an installment of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Style section. Kirk is such a nice guy and of course most importantly has a truly great sense of style! Between his impeccable suits, ties and bow ties–I think he could have graced a GQ cover! This shot above may just be one of my favorite all time My Style photos. The light, the colors and his expression just really stand out. I know Kirk already has a great career going–but really, could have done some modeling right?!

SARA & ERIC–WHITEWATER CREEK COUNTRY CLUB, FAYETTEVILLE GA

I had the great honor of photographing Sara and Eric’s wedding recently at the Whitewater Creek Country Club in Fayetteville. Let me just say that you couldn’t ask for two finer people to have ended up together. They are both incredibly kind, genuine and easy going, and I am so glad that I could photograph their beautiful wedding.  You can always tell when two people have something really special together and I knew it when I saw Eric nervously practicing his self-written vows before the ceremony. He just wanted the moment to be perfect when he would express in his vows his deep love and commitment to Sara. And when they both teared up saying their vows to each other during the ceremony–well I am just saying, they’ve got something truly special.

Sara and Eric are both recent graduates of the Airforce Academy and are both continuing to serve our country. So needless to say, it was truly a honor to be a part of their day. Sara and Eric, I am sure that you had the most amazing adventure in New Zealand and Australia (two of my favorite places) on your honeymoon. Thank you again for letting me document your truly special day! Sara’s mom made her beautiful dress–that’s right, I said made her dress! How amazing is that?!After Sara slipped into her dress, her mom sewed up the finishing touches.

Sara kept laughing because she said that she wasn’t sure how to pose–but that is exactly what I love–her beautiful smile is contagious and real!!Eric looking very handsome in his uniform. Sara and Eric wrote their own vows for the ceremony and it was truly lovely.Just a little caught moment between the two of them that I loved.Wow–Sara! You look stunning! Both Sara and Eric’s brothers played the guitar and ukulele for their first dance.Eric’s cousin took their grandmother out on the dance floor–and she was just grinning from ear to ear!

KARA & WILL–BUFORD WEDDING

Kara and Will celebrated their beautiful wedding recently at their West Buford Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Three important things you should know about Kara and Will: Number one– These two are totally in love with one another. Number two–Kara and Will are two of the nicest people you could meet. And finally three–Kara might as well be a model (and Will is very handsome too of course!) So what more can you ask for on an amazing wedding day!

Kara is incredibly sweet and easy going and Will is her perfect match….and I knew after photographing their engagement session a few months back, that this was going to be a perfect day. Yes, it was crazy hot that day, and of course there were a few big thunderstorms thrown in for good measure–but that didn’t dampen the day one bit. All of their closest family and friends were there to celebrate and share in this wonderful couple’s day.

Will and Kara, thank you for letting me share in your beautiful wedding! I am sure that the honeymoon to Hawaii was amazing!!!                                                                                                                     I’m just saying: WOW! How gorgeous is she?!

This is Kara trying not to cry while reading a letter from Will right before the ceremony (with her mom and bridesmaid trying to help).

Many thanks again to Jennifer Boxley for this shot of Will and for all her shots of the guys!

Love this photo!!!                                                             Will shares a moment with his mom during the reception–I love the expression on her face!                                         Kara hugging her dad right before she leaves the reception. I always love these moments!
