PIEDMONT PARK FAMILY SESSION

I have always loved shooting family sessions–but now that I have my own daughter I understand even more deeply the value of capturing this time in a child’s life that is so fleeting! Just look at the ever adorable Davis–he is already 10 months old and has grown so fast since I photographed him a few months ago! Number one–I simply love this family (and as you all may remember I photographed their wedding a few years ago)! It’s just the best thing ever to see a child’s face light up when interacting with mom and dad–and Davis just loves everything they do!

Seriously how adorable is this little guy!
As soon as I saw this photo–my heart melted. This to me is exactly what love looks like.

LAUREN & JASON–CUSCOWILLA RESORT WEDDING

I was so excited when I arrived at the beautiful Cuscowilla Resort on Lake Oconee to photograph Lauren and Jason’s wedding! It is such a gorgeous location for a wedding and I couldn’t wait to capture their lovely outdoor ceremony and reception! Lauren and Jason are the kind of couple that you love to be around–they are so easy-going and genuine and they love to make one another laugh.  I am so honored to have photographed such a wonderful celebration of their love for one another among all of their fantastic family and friends!

Thanks to my second shooter Kelley Klein for this great shot of Jason!

It’s a beauty. Sensitive and stylish and memorable. All that one asks.

JENNIFER & NATE–VININGS CLUB WEDDING

I love wedding days–the energy, enthusiasm and excitement comes from every direction and creates an environment filled with so much love and happiness! You’ll know instantly what kind of bride Jen is when I tell you that the minute I saw her in the church when she arrived–she instantly came up to me and gave me the biggest hug!  The excitement of her wedding day and the anticipation of seeing Nate for a First Look was written all over her face! Nate and Jen are just so effortless together–their love is rooted in all of their laughter and deep friendship.  Sometimes we say so much by how we look at the one we love–and thus I simply had to lead off the blog with the photo below. To me it sums up perfectly their whole wedding day –because each moment they were together–this is what I saw. What an honor to capture all of that love and joy!

Wedding: Northwest Presbyterian Church

Reception: The Vinings Club

Hair & Makeup: Authentic Beauty

Flowers: Mary Ann Tucci–Bella Floral Designs

What a fantastic moment of them seeing each other for their First Look! Thanks to my second shooter Jennifer Boxley for this great shot above during the ceremony!

MONA & BRAD–KIMBALL HALL WEDDING

What a beautiful wedding to begin with for the wonderful Autumn season here in Atlanta! Mona and Brad celebrated their gorgeous wedding at St. Peter Chanel in Roswell followed by a reception at the always fabulous Kimball Hall! As always I am so fortunate to photograph the sweetest and most easy-going brides and grooms! Mona and Brad put together the most fantastic details for their wedding–everything from a vintage typewriter and old novels for their table place cards to sweet candied treats for the guests and stunning florals for their centerpieces.  It was an honor to be a part of such a beautiful day with one of the nicest couples you could meet!

Thank you to my second shooter Kelley Klein for the great detail shots above!

INTRODUCING ELISE!

I’m a bit behind here in writing up one of the best blog posts that I get to do–introducing my beautiful new daughter Elise! She was born June 8th weighing in at a perfect 6lbs 7oz. She was born at just the right time–a few weeks after shooting my last wedding and two weeks after finishing up several engagement and family portrait sessions.

It has been an amazing and crazy adventure these past 7 weeks having a newborn. It’s like everyone says–the hardest thing and the best thing you could ever do all at once! Of course we are biased in thinking that she is the most beautiful little girl we have seen! She has started to smile a lot in the past week and that is by far one of the most wonderful feelings–to see your little one smiling back at you.

So if things are a bit quite on the blog for the next month–it is because I am soaking up all of these wonderful new moments with my daughter! However, I am so excited to be back shooting weddings all through the fall. Starting in September there will be a whirlwind of beautiful weddings on the blog again!
