ELISE–YEAR ONE!

One whole year! I cannot believe my beautiful girl will be turning 1 tomorrow. Becoming a parent has been without a doubt one of the most incredible and life-altering experiences I could have ever imagined. She is sweet and funny, inquisitive and gentle, easy-going and independent. Loving her is one of the greatest joys of my life. Here is a quick snapshot of our year together (from the day she was born to a few days before she turns one).

JENNIFER & CHASE–KING PLOW WEDDING

Jennifer and Chase’s King Plow wedding was one of the  most fantastic and incredibly fun weddings ever! It was just one of those perfect days where everything comes together. It was so much fun capturing all of this love and joy on their wedding day!

The First Look: “I was excited to see Chase looking so handsome in his suit, and for him to finally see my dress that I had been hiding from him for months! I was also really nervous to see his reaction!”

A Funny Memory: “When we were circling each other during the ceremony, everyone was calling out different numbers to try to make us lose count of what number we were on.”

Favorite Part of Reception: “Our favorite part of the reception was dancing with all of our friends and family the entire night! Our legs were so sore for the next 3 days! “

ALLIE & ANTHONY–LAKE LANIER ISLANDS WEDDING

What an absolutely fantastic, beautiful and super fun wedding Allie and Anthony shared with their family and friends at Lake Lanier Islands! It was supposed to rain the whole day and instead we totally lucked out and not a drop came down until the end of the reception!  It was such a gorgeous day and am so honored to have captured all of these wonderful moments!

The First Look:  “I had a lot of emotions running through me when I saw Anthony at the first look. I was excited, anxious (he always calls me an eager beaver) and nervous.”

A Favorite Moment: “One of my favorite moments of the wedding was when Anthony and I were exchanging rings. We both put them on the wrong hand and it didn’t fit Anthony’s finger. Once we got back to the bridal room he finally was able to get it on, only to realize that it was on the wrong hand. He had to use lotion to get it off. Once he got it off he was able to put it on the correct finger easily.”

Ceremony/Reception: Lake Lanier Islands Resort

Hair: Karma Salon

Floral: La Petite Fleur

Wedding Coordinator: Belle of the Ball

Music: Moxie Band

Many thanks to my second photographer Jennifer Boxley for photographing Anthony and his groomsmen!

WHITNEY & LUKE–KIMBALL HALL WEDDING

Whitney and Luke are the kind of people that make you feel like you’ve been friends for ages even if you’ve just met them! They are just full of love and kindness and I couldn’t have been more honored to get to know them in this past year and photograph their beautiful wedding!!

Whitney’s reflection of her wedding day:

Favorite Moment: “I think my all time favorite moment was when we read our vows to each other. We had written them ourselves and I truly think that we will continue to look back at them and keep the promises we made to each other. Another favorite was of course walking down the aisle with my dad and then seeing Luke for the first time – he was so handsome!”

Walking Down the Aisle: “Right when they opened the gate to walk down I was surprisingly calm and I am not typically a laid back person. I was really calm and really happy and just tried to live in that moment!”

KATIE & JAMES–HOLY TRINITY & CALLANWOLDE WEDDING

Love, love, love everything about this wedding and the wonderful couple Katie & James! It was simply the most beautiful day with two people who are so full of love and joy! I asked  Katie about her experience of the day (and I love everything she said!):

Favorite Moment: “My favorite moment was when James and I exchanged our vows.  I have never felt more grounded, confident, and truly present than I was at that second.  I knew with my whole heart that God had brought us together and that we were meant to share a lifetime.  I had an overwhelming sense of peace and felt that everything I had experienced in my life was meant to bring me to that exact spot.  It was perfect. ”

Seeing James on the Wedding Day:  “My dad had given me a good pep talk before we walked into the church.  My heart was pounding but I was all smiles and so excited to see James.  When I started walking down the aisle I locked eyes with him immediately.  I could feel the love pouring out from our family and friends, but I tried to keep my focus on him.  At about the halfway point, I gave him the biggest most reassuring smile I could manage.  I saw how proud he was and thought this is it! ”
