Melissa and Joe have one of the best “how we met” stories–involving a key chain and a coffee shop! They formed an instant connection and now here they are about to get married this coming fall at The Vinings Club! Melissa and Joe are the kind of people you like the instant you meet them–super friendly, easy-going and so much fun to be with! We had a blast shooting all around downtown Cartersville for their engagement session and I am so excited to photograph their beautiful wedding!
There is something so special about two people who have not only known each other for so long, but who have loved and shared so many experiences together–from high school and college, through first jobs and big moves across the country! Michelle and Michael have an amazing relationship and celebrated it so beautifully with their fantastic families and friends! I loved photographing every moment of their gorgeous day!
Walking Down the Aisle: “First it was mostly remember to breathe and not let my heart beat out of my chest. Once I saw Michael it was like once I make it to him he won’t let me fall, no matter what happens he will be there to catch me (and on that day it was just as literal as it is figurative, you pay the price for beautiful shoes) and I could breathe and not have a heart attack.”
Favorite Moments of the Day: “Obviously my favorite part was marrying Michael 😉 but besides I think my favorite thing was my Dad’s speech at the reception. He is a man of few words and hearing such a loving speech about how proud he is of me and how glad he is Michael is the one and he knows I will be taken care of. It really was something special for me. He has always supported me but hearing it verbalized was just so special. “
Many thanks to my second shooter Kelley Klein for these two great shots of Michael!

Ashton and Adam’s wedding at The Georgian Club was an absolute blast!! They are an incredibly fun couple that keep each other and all of their friends and family laughing! It was a perfect June day for a beautiful outdoor wedding and I loved getting to photograph every minute of it!
The First Look: (Ashton): “I was thinking and feeling crazy things when waiting for the first look- it took him forever to walk down so I had basically worked myself into an internal tizzy!”
(Adam): “I was just very excited to see her in the dress that I knew she was very excited about. Knowing that she would look beautiful and then being blown away in the actual moment.”
Favorite Moments: (Ashton): “For me, the entire day was perfect. But, I think one of my most fun moments was taking pictures with my mom beforehand. Also seeing my dad for the first time. He’s very laid back a lot of the time, and I think when he saw me, everything happening that day really sank in with him.”
(Adam): “There were so many great moments but probably when we turned around to be introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Green for the first time and actually seeing all the people who were there and special to us. Also seeing Ashton’s father so excited about the song they were dancing to.”
I love Ashton’s father’s reaction to seeing her for the first time on the day! Many thanks to my second shooter Kelley Klein for this shot of Adam! What a fantastic moment for the First Look!
Love this! It was super hot and Adam was attempting to use the bouquet as a fan! The ring bearer loved Adam but was feeling a bit shy when it came to his picture with Ashton!
Alison, Every single picture is amazing!!! We absolutely love them!! Thank you so so so much for being there with us on our day and doing such an amazing job capturing all those moments!!!
You know the kind of couple that you meet where you think–wow these two are simply perfect for one another? Well that is Kelly and Ben 100%! The incredibly genuine love and emotion on their beautiful wedding day at Naylor Hall is a reminder of exactly what makes this day so special! What an honor to witness and capture it all!
On Walking Down the Aisle: ” Well, Lauren, one of my bridesmaids who had just gotten married told me, “You are going to feel like you’re about to take the biggest test that you haven’t studied for!” She was totally right! As soon as the limo started moving into the yard, I got that feeling haha. But I knew I couldn’t fail this test. Then walking up, all I was thinking was “don’t cry!!” So to keep myself from crying I found myself giggling uncontrollably and smiling, staring at my groom! It was wonderful.”
Favorite Moments: “One of my favorite moments was right at the end of the reception when the DJ played “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey, and everyone still there got up to the dance floor, and we had a whole group sing-along! Ben and I were right there with all of our friends and family just enjoying the last few minutes of our special night. It was so funny but such a good memory!”
“Another favorite memory would be our first dance. I couldn’t take my eyes off Ben because I was still in awe that we were actually married! There was no one more important in that room to me but him, and it makes me tear up now just putting myself back there.”
So beautiful!!
Alison, you are making me laugh and cry at the same time! These are just perfect, and you captured the night beautifully!! Thank you for such a wonderful way to remember our perfect night!!
A wonderful couple and a beautiful location equals a great day for an engagement session! Linda and David will be celebrating their October wedding in Alabama and I am so glad that they hired me to do their Marietta Square engagement session!
